Greetings Fellow Lightbeings,

How's your October treatin' ya?  We hope peaceful!   Yes, we know its been overwhleming, hectic and chaotic at times.  There are many that are experiencing heavy, negative energies these past few months, and we're no exception!

Is there any relief? Are there any solutions?

Only time can heal and bring about a change in order for us to deal with the strifes & struggles, the ups and downs of living here on this planet earth.

Some say it helps to pray & meditate.  We have found benefits in both formats. Its is an essential key in order to navigate through life and have balance of mind, body & soul.

Our mission at nSeyah is to embrace having a better life. Which brings us to our blog title today.

How do you restore positive energy that has been struck with negative people, places & things?

How do you replenish your being after dealing with heavy news, saddness, depressing events, argumentative people, hostility and hurt?

There is no sure fire way of preventing this dilema from our lives. Some feel that it is inevitable that we must face challenges everyday.

We understand this, yet we embrace that we must find balance and restoration to improve our mind, body & spirit.

Let's take a look at the healing modality called an altar.

What's an altar?

Wikipedia's definition  for the word altar,  is a structure upon offerings are made for religious purposes.  Altars are found at temples, shrines, religious places, etc.

Although, not everyone is religious, spirituality allows for the understanding that we can find peace in our own space,  and by having an altar we can also help  to restore balance back into our lives. What do you think?

Note, altars are not simply used soley for religious purposes, there are many people who embrace having and using an altar.

Altars have been utilized for many of years, since the beginning of time monks, priests, etc. have set up a space in which altars  have been used  in conjunction with prayer & meditation to bring peace and restore positive energy.

Another definition defined by wikipedia for an altar is in which it can be a personal place/sacred space, area where items, tools, rituals, and symbols are place to help us with all those daily issues.

We found a great example of a basic altar set-up. Take a look above & view one of many, different types and ways to set up an altar.

Here's a small list of items that can placed on an altar:

  • Plants, flowers
  • Candles
  • Crystals
  • Totem/Power Animal symbols
  • Aromatherapy tools
  • Incense
  • Pictures
  • Herbal items
  • Chalices
  • Cauldrons
  • Drums, wands, sticks, swords/knives, etc.
Along with the items, we are given helpful tips to know concerning elements that benefit your altar and its energy. What are elements?

Elements consist of:
Earth
Wind/Air
Fire and
Water
(the fifth element is known as Aether, that we may discuss later!)

When creating a space for an altar those items and the elements placed can assist in our equilibrium  & restoration as well.

Note:
The north direction  represents earth
The east direction represents air
The south direction represents fire &
The west direction represents water

We're excited to embrace and learn more about this concept and  please in bringing this information to you.  Please note that there is no one-way, or set in stone method to create your altar,  we have seen huge altars, small altars and even traveling altars all designed by beings who simply want to connect & restore.  Simply go with your vibe, energy as to what reasonates with you...and then just do it!

We hope you gain some insight  as to using an altar and know our perspective is only to be informative!

As October continues, find enlightenment by having a sacred space, smudge, clear and set up a desirable altar to help bring peace, happiness & restoration.

Join us later, when we will spotlight ancestors and altars co-existing to bring further positiivty as well.

Until next time.

of light & love,

nSeyah
